I would like to thank you again for the wonderful forensic science workshop you ran on Monday to a group of Year 6 students. I am always amazed by the amount of kit you bring – the students are very lucky to learn about and experience first-hand the wide range of techniques you cover. They are engaged from start to finish, but clearly, the highlight is the afternoon session when they dress in their scene of crime white suits, gloves, overshoes and mask to solve the crime scene you prepare for each group. The comments I heard at the end of the day- “wonderful”, “amazing”, “awesome”, ” so cool”- sum up their experience. We look forward to welcoming you back next year!

Workshop: Little City UK Workshops

I am delighted to share what a fantastic experience we had with Little City today. It truly was an outstanding visit from start to finish. All of our children were fully engaged throughout the session, including our children with SEND. The setup provided a rich, stimulating environment that encouraged imagination, collaboration and purposeful play. It was wonderful to see every child accessing the provision so confidently and with such enthusiasm. Jade was punctual, professional and incredibly efficient. She set up everything independently and seamlessly, ensuring the environment was inviting and ready for the children. At the end of the session, she packed everything away just as smoothly. Throughout the visit, Jade interacted beautifully with the children. She was warm, approachable and attentive, supporting their play without taking over, and encouraging meaningful conversations and role play. Her positive energy really contributed to making the day such a success. It was a truly valuable experience for our EYFS cohort, and we would highly recommend Little City to other settings. We are already looking forward to welcoming them back again!

All year groups got the chance to take part and Jennifer tailored the workshops perfectly so that all children got to build something awesome - we had bridges and towns, an octopus and some parrots, castles and giraffes, trains and cars. Her ability to engage and encourage children of all ages was brilliant. The PTA organised the activity and it surpassed both ours and the school's expectations. Having Inventors and Makers come in to run workshops in our school has been an amazing experience. Laura has been brilliant from the beginning at liaising with me - all my questions were answered really promptly and joint organisation before the workshops meant that they went off without a hitch. On the day, both Susie and Laura were incredible. All staff and children raved about the workshops and one of our staff said that it was the best workshop she had ever been to.
