The Great Pyramid was built over 4,600 years ago, using more than 2 million large stone blocks (weighing approx. 3,000 kg each). Inside are found three burial chambers, with the lowest (unfinished) chamber carved into the bedrock upon which the pyramid stands. Photo: Jerome Bon
