Drama Workshops, School Plays and Storytelling Experiences for Primary Schools

Workshop Content & Delivery

We combine teaching and learning to create an enjoyable experience while keeping the real educational objectives in focus. Teaching becomes easier and learning more engaging, especially when dressing up brings the topic to life.

To complete the enjoyment we will conduct drama workshops based on the day's chosen topic and round off with a questions and answers session.

All our plays are researched for accuracy and delivered with music, songs, humour and a good deal of audience participation.

Testimonials

I wasn’t there as parents aren’t allowed on site but I understand all went to plan and the kids absolutely loved it - I had so many positive messages from parents last night. I hope the actors didn’t drown in the rubbish weather. Please pass on our thanks for their perseverance!!

Chair PTA, Newberries Primary School, Radlett

We were more than pleased with the workshop and play last week to support our Egyptian Day and feel it all went very well and organised to plan. The children gained a lot of information from the day helped by the fact it was so interactive.

Miss Humphries and Mrs Tomkins , Copthorne Preparatory Schoo

Thank you very much for the fantastic performance about Henry VIII. The children all thoroughly enjoyed it, and it really enhanced their learning. The children loved the Workshops too, and didn't they come up with some bizarre plays!

About This Provider (Aesop's Touring Theatre Company)

Theatre in Education
Head Office: Aesop's Touring Theatre Company, Woking, Surrey, GU21 5TA

Aesop's Touring Theatre Company was established in 1999 as a Theatre in Education Company. We currently perform many Scripted Plays and conduct numerous Drama Workshops. All our productions are interactive and linked to the National Curriculum and, to make them entertaining and enjoyable, we include songs, music, humour and audience participation. We specialise in Nursery, Infant and Junior schools, and some of our plays are suitable for seniors in years seven and eight. For the very young, there is always a strong message or moral delivered in a light-hearted, fun-filled way. We tour nationally and also perform in theatres, village halls, conference centres and at parties. We see Theatre in Education as an important tool in the learning process, and a helpful aid for teachers.
