This workshop embraces the colourful culture of Indian dance beautifully, incorporating traditional dance style which using intricate and symbolic hand movements called Mudras it’s a fascinating way to communicate and move to music. For a more energetic discovery of traditional Indian dance Bollywood is an exciting option due to its upbeat modern music. Coin belts are provided for students to wear which is a fun way to help students incorporate the movement of their bodies and the sound that it creates. A great workshop to celebrate Diwali which happens between October and November and Holi celebrated from February and March. The Indian Workshop Compliments Cultural Week, Arts Week and International Day.

Format

The structure of our dance workshops can be tailored to fit into a usual school day. In our experience we find that an appropriate class duration is between 30 minutes to 90 minutes for each session.

we offer half day and full day workshops. Depending on the location our half day workshops start from £240.00

We would require a lareg space for the workshop to allow the students to move safely , ie the school hall or large classroom
