Testimonials

Laura delivered an outstanding CPD session for the AI Network Meeting at Ealing Learning Partnership. Her approach to teaching AI in the classroom was grounded firmly in safety, pedagogy and practicality, which was incredibly reassuring for school leaders and teachers alike. Laura explored how children can learn about machine learning in an age-appropriate way, including how AI is trained through datasets, labels and algorithms, using carefully structured questions. Laura clearly demonstrated how even children in EYFS can begin to understand the relationship between labels, datasets, machine learning, algorithms and the testing process. It was particularly powerful to reflect on how our existing EYFS curriculum already lays strong foundations through pattern recognition, sorting, sequencing and critical thinking. Laura shared practical classroom applications, including the use of micro:bits, and showcased inspiring examples from Inventors and Makers who have developed their own AI chatbots to support specific curriculum areas and teacher workload. She was inspiring, engaging and highly practical — leaving colleagues feeling confident, informed and excited about how AI can be taught responsibly and meaningfully in schools. A truly excellent CPD experience.

Hannah Widdisdon, Ealing Learning Partnership

Our staff were all really impressed with the knowledge and content of the activities as well as the pedagogical understanding of the person delivering. The sessions lent themselves really well to our topics and gave staff lots of ideas and understanding to be built upon in later lessons.
