Mark Wood – Polar Explorer and Inspirational School Speaker

Mark provides the sorts of insights into the world around us that just can't be learned in a classroom. His human first approach to exploration, climate change and the power of resilience strike a chord with young people and adults in equal measure. Mark has given keynote addresses to a hall full of people and created meaningful discussions with small groups of students. He is one of those speakers that people remember, perhaps more importantly the message he gives lasts too.

Mark is a wonderfully eloquent, entertaining and inspiring speaker. Drawing on his experience in extreme situations and aligning them with challenges we all face - especially when dealing with isolation and stress he can make you feel like anything is possible.

An incredible 5 days in Svalbard with Mark Wood who organised this expedition for 10 kids from Sherbourne Special School, Coventry. This was literally life changing for them, and for me. From dog sledging, snowmobiling, going up mountains in snowcats and finishing up underground in ice caves beneath a glacier, they will remember this forever. Be inspired by what these kids achieved. I know that we all were.
