Background & Experience

Charlotte’s background is rooted in frontline youth work, where she spent over two decades within drug and alcohol services. This foundation led her to become a nationwide trainer and speaker for prestigious organisations, including the National Youth Agency (NYA), Mentor ADEPIS, and Alcohol Concern. She is a BA (Hons) graduate in Applied Community Studies and a qualified Life Coach, specialising in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS).

What sets Charlotte apart on the corporate and educational stage is her "lived experience" perspective. As a passionate neurodiversity advocate who navigated her own challenges with neurodivergence and early emotional distress, she brings an unmatched level of honesty to her sessions. She creates safe, collaborative spaces where professionals—from social workers and teachers to corporate leaders—can show up as their authentic selves, challenge their own values, and attain true, actionable knowledge. Whether delivering a keynote at a national conference or facilitating a bespoke "Train the Trainer" intensive, Charlotte’s mission remains the same: to empower support networks with the tools to weather the realities of being a young person in today’s society.

Most Delivered Talks

As a speaker, Charlotte is particularly sought after for her ability to navigate complex "taboo" subjects with professional boundary-setting and empathy. Her most delivered talks include:

  • Inside the Adolescent Mind: A deep dive into the "back-to-front" development of the teenage brain, exploring how the dopamine-driven reward system and an underdeveloped prefrontal cortex impact risk-taking, impulsivity, and emotional regulation.
  • Social Media, Misogyny & Misinformation: A cutting-edge session addressing the influence of the "Manosphere" and digital algorithms on young men’s perceptions of masculinity and gender.
  • The CEO Brain: Supporting Executive Functioning: A specialist talk focused on neurodiversity (ADHD and Autism) and practical methods to support task initiation, emotional regulation, and task persistence.
  • Planet of the Vapes: A data-driven look at the vaping epidemic, exploring the marketing tactics used to target youth and the long-term health implications.
