Classroom Workshop (1 hour)
This workshop provides pupils with a hands on introduction to the fascinating life of a butterfly, including:
- Their life cycle
- How they use their senses differently to humans
- What habitats they favour and why
- What they need to survive
Pupils will take part in demonstrations, create the perfect butterfly habitat, and put their observational skills to the test to complete a sketch.
Minibeast Hunt
From March - November, add on an extra hour to introduce pupils to the incredible minibeasts found in their own school environment.
Pupils will explore the habitats found in your school grounds, identifying minibeasts and discussing how their habitat meets their needs. This can be tailored to suit the outdoor spaces available at your school, such as:
- Playing fields
- Woodland areas
- Ponds
- Overgrown areas, hedgerows and field edges
