ARP Activity: In this hands-on session, students step into the shoes of an ARP Warden. They sign up, don their own black warden helmets, and learn essential duties. Divided into three groups, they’ll use original WW2 tools and techniques, such as extinguishing pretend fires with a Stirrup Pump, moving a model incendiary bomb with a bomb scoop and hoe, and applying the sandbag method to put out a model bomb.
Artefact Investigation: With the largest collection of artefacts, students explore a diverse range of items. They begin with the "Genuine or Reproduction" game to enhance their observation skills, then work in groups to investigate and analyze artefacts using a guided prompt sheet.
First Aid Activity: Students learn vital WW2-era first aid skills, including how to bandage injuries using a triangular bandage and how to move an immobile person with methods from the time. They even get to practice with British Army stretchers!
WW2 Timeline: Through an engaging presentation, students explore the key events of WW2, gaining a deeper understanding of the war's historical significance.
