In your Bollywood dance workshop, the instructor will come dressed in a vibrant traditional Indian outfit, bringing along a variety of authentic props, jewelry, and costumes for the children to explore. We also provide scarves and Bindis, so the students can dress up and get into the spirit of Bollywood.
You can opt for a simple Bollywood dance session, or explore more creative ideas to enhance the experience.

Assemblies
You could kick off the day with a 15-minute assembly led by your instructor, where they will introduce the whole school to Indian dance. This presentation will include showcasing props and giving an overview of what the students will learn. If it coincides with an Indian festival, they will tie the content to that celebration.
The instructor will teach everyone some Mudras (hand positions) while seated and even dress up a child to resemble a Bollywood star. Additionally, your dance artist can perform a brief solo to inspire and energise the students.
Professional Performances
You could also include a performance at your school from our professional Bollywood dance company, Bollywood Vibes. This gives students the opportunity to experience live Bollywood dance, immersing them in the vibrant energy and stunning costumes. Our dancers will also lead the Bollywood dance workshops throughout the day.
Bollywood derives its name from Bombay (now Mumbai), a city that produces over 100 films each year. Why not create your own Bollywood movie at school? With the guidance of our Zest teachers, we can assist you in making a short film that incorporates dance, drama, music, and film techniques.
Students can participate at various levels, whether they wish to perform on stage, craft props, write scripts, or work behind the camera. This project can be completed in a week or extended over a longer period with regular visits to the school.

The travel costs will be added if you are outside London. They are calculated depending on your school's location and we will find the cheapest option for you.
We take up to 30 students per workshop. If you have more than that taking part that is fine, we would just need to provide multiple dance teachers for your workshops.
Once again a huge thank you for the Bollywood workshops. All the girls had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed their sessions. It was tailored fit our needs perfectly and they loved learning a brand new style. The mums are over the moon and feedback from them has been amazing. We had Olivia come in to our school last term and do four workshops over the course of four weeks in keeping with our 'Around the World' topic. We did dances in Bollywood, Scottish, Chinese and African. The workshops were brilliant for the children. they consisted of warm up games and stretching whilst often getting used to the music. Following this, the dances were broken down into sections and repeated until the children understood. Once complete, the sections were put together. The children really engaged with Olivia and Amber and absolutely loved the fact that they all got a piece of costume or prop to use/wear. Very professionally down and the ladies had a good level of discipline even though the teachers were present. We will definitely be booking again for the next academic year.
