Example Theme Day at Widcombe Infants School
Zest recently returned to Widcombe Infants School in Bath, where we've built a wonderful connection over twelve years. The children always embrace our creative dance workshops, letting their imaginations run wild.
Each year, the school selects a theme for Arts Week, with past themes including Julia Donaldson books, Outer Space, and Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Circus, Weather, plus many more.
This year’s theme, “In the Woods,” inspired a contemporary dance piece featuring woodland elements. Children also created their own short dances inspired by woodland animals. It was a joyful experience, and we eagerly anticipate our next visit!

End of Day Dance Performance
Our time at your school can wrap up with a student-led dance performance, showcasing their effort and creativity. Parents can be invited to watch, too if you have the space!
Or why not film it to play at your next open evening.
This can take place at the end of the day or week, with around 30 minutes set aside for the show. Each class would need at least 40mins per workshop, so they have enough time to put a few moves together to wow everyone with.
This gives a huge sense of achievemnt for the students to perform, and watch their friend's dances too. Teachers are always amazed at how much they can pick up in a short space of time!
