School Scuba Diving Adventures Trips

Trips to Maldives, Indonesia, Curacao and more

No matter whether your students are already avid divers or complete beginners, our scuba diving trips allow you to enjoy plenty of (warm water) diving as well as cultural immersion, discovering new wildlife and coral formations, and learn more about ocean and reef conservation. Students taking dive courses will walk away with a qualification for life, and everyone will return with lifelong memories. We offer scuba diving trips to swim with sharks in the Maldives, to see manta rays and dragons in Indonesia (Bali and Komodo) and hunt invasive species in Curaçao all year round.

What does a school scuba diving trip look like?

After arriving in the tropical paradise of your choice, you'll be welcomed by the dive centre team and get everything ready to begin diving the next day.

If you have new divers in your group, they will prove their knowledge from the e-learning course they should have completed before arrival and master basic safety skills on the first diving day.

For everyone else (and the new divers once they start diving in open water) we'll typically head out for 2 dives every morning and most days have the option of a third dive in the afternoon (or at night, depending on experience levels and local conditions).

When we aren't diving, and for the final surface day before you fly home, there will be plenty of other things to do ranging from watersports such as stand up paddleboarding and kayaking to jungle and cave exploration to involvement in conservation activities. We charter a boat in Curaçao and Maldives to claim an uninhabited island for the day and cook up a superb beach barbecue, and in Indonesia it's usually a day in Bali to climb a volcano, visit temples, or go surfing.

Trips include 11 dives and equipment rental as standard for qualified divers, with dive courses such as open water for those new to diving, advanced open water for those who enjoy diving and want to go a little deeper or speciality courses such as wreck diver and invasive lionfish tracker coming at an extra cost.

Additional Info

Think Outside The Classroom is a specialist school trip company that focuses on all the small details from arrival to departure and not just the scuba diving part. Our partner dive centres know exactly what school dive groups need, ensure low ratios of dive guides and instructors to students, choose dive sites carefully based on energy and experience levels, and know how to make the days spent together fun. For those students new to diving, the instructors we use are not only experienced but incredibly patient, and will not push students to learn faster than they are comfortable with.

We are passionate about scuba diving and ocean conservation, and we are ready to support 24 hours a day when you are on your trip with anything that your guide cannot solve for you.

Transport

We will suggest suitable flight options based on the dates you give us when you enquire. Please indicate if you have flexibility with the dates to allow us to find the most cost effective option for you. We recommend flights from a range of airlines including low cost airlines, but all flights will include at least 20kg baggage allowance. Trips including flights departing from the UK are ATOL protected - please see details in our terms and conditions or ask for more details.

Accommodation

We normally offer basic accommodation to keep costs lower, but if you would like more comfortable alternatives we can arrange this. Maldives: Students share twin rooms in simple guesthouses with a daily buffet breakfast. Teachers will be in private rooms. Indonesia: In Bali, students share twin rooms in a 3 or 4 star hotel, with teachers in private rooms. In Labuan Bajo, depending on availability students will either be sharing twin rooms or sharing dorm rooms. Curaçao: Students will share basic accommodation in Willemsted, with teachers in private rooms.

Cost

We can organise week-long scuba diving trips for 20 students and 2 free teachers from £1395 per student, including around 11 dives and equipment rental. International flights, PADI courses and additional dives are extra. Subject to availability and may vary by departure date, destination, group size and itinerary. Please ask for details.
